About Us

Why Deli 101 ToGo?

We’re Roger Rada and Glenys Hill-Rada, two retired school superintendents who never really stopped taking on new challenges. After careers in public education, we stayed busy with a variety of side projects—one of which was opening the original Deli 101 with our son, Greg, in 2012. We loved that deli, the people, and the food.  But like many food vendors during that time, we just couldn’t make it.  But the food world has changed.  Covid created new consumption patterns; takeout is now king.  So, we’re back; this time we’re Deli 101 ToGo!

What hasn’t changed is our motto:

Fighting for Freedom, One Sandwich at a Time.

That motto matters to us for two reasons. First, it honors our veterans. We proudly donate to the USO as a small way to say thank you to those who fought for our freedom. Second, it reflects our commitment to our son Greg’s journey as an entrepreneur. Every sandwich he makes brings him one step closer to financial freedom, and ownership of the business he’s building.

We’re excited about this next chapter, and we’re grateful we can share it with you. We hope you enjoy Deli 101 ToGo as much as we enjoy bringing it to you.
